Mrs. Aftimos is a solo practitioner who has been practicing civil law for almost a decade in addition to having clerked for a federal bankruptcy judge for nearly a decade.  She partners with law firms as co-counsel or in a ghostwriting capacity on matters ranging from pretrial negotiations and settlements, to trial preparation and litigation, and appellate briefing.  She also supports law firms when they find themselves temporarily short-staffed.  She brings her background in corporate restructuring to her practice as outside counsel for startups and other businesses.  She occasionally represents private clients, limiting her lead-counsel practice to commit her full attention to the cases in her care.
